Fuel Gauge Failure

Just bought a new 2004 today. Fuel gauge broke in first 100 miles. Was on about 3/4 mark then went to full mark and stays. Maybe I sdould drain some fuel out, to keep it from overflowing? Any one else with this fuel gauge problem.

Had my gauge replaced about 2 weeks ago, same problem as yours. New one works better then old one, now a quarter tank equals about 6-7 gals, the old one was about 5 gals. I need to run this one close to empty to find out how many gals left when fuel light comes on. Used to have 8 gals left after light came on.

Fuel Gauge Failure

Just bought an 05 and had the fuel guage do the same thing before the 125 milemark. Havent taken it in yet, but glad to hear that it is an easy fix.

Quit complaining papsam45...sounds to me like your Titan is making fuel instead of burning it like the rest of ours!!! Just kidding, welcome to the forum. A quick search will show you that plenty of folks on this forum have had varying degrees of fuel gauge problems!!
