Trouble code 1000

Ok guys,

I have an 05 with 500 miles on it. The SES light just came on and I did the check. It is giving me a code of 1000. Does anyone know what this code is? It being Sunday and me living in the state that CLOSES on Sunday, I can't take it anywhere to get it checked until tomorrow. Any help would be great!!!

OK, I'm not sure I looked in the right spot, seeing as I'm not a mechanic but the nearest I could tell, U1000 code represents a problem with the CAN communications circut (Controller Area Network) that allows information to the ECM. The trouble spots indicated to check when you get that code is the wire harness or connections.

Hope this is the right information, like I said, it's all new to me. If anyone else has better information, ignore me, just trying to help on a closed down Sunday.

37L1 is correct. The error code translate into (The ECM cannot communicate with other Control units). Sounds like it's time to take it into the dealer. Hopefully it's just a loose connector or something like that.

It is on the way to the dealer Tuesday morning just for this. I unfortunately can't get it there Monday due to work. Thanks for your input guys, I really appreciate it. Kind of makes the blood boil when that stinkin light comes on and you can't do anything about it in a timely fashion. I will keep y'all updated.

Update!!!!!

Well gentlemen,

I took the Titan to the stealership today and after they put it through a "45 minute full diagnostic," They said that the truck set a "false code." They had no idea why and of course once they cleared it, it didn't come back. At least they have it noted. Again, thanks for your input and willingness to help!

Love this truck!!!

Some times the old tron god grumbles and you get a false code. Hopefully you'll never see it again.

Good to here that there was nothing seriously wrong. It's always worth the shot after you write down the code to try and clear it. Allot of cars/trucks if not all newer ones will set a hard code that keeps the light on even after the fault has cleared. Crossing my fingers for you that it doesn't come back.
