My VDC and slip light come on together for extended periods of time. This seems to happen right after I have filled up with gas or transporting a heavy load.
I asked a Nissan service associate about this problem and he said that unless they could duplicatethe light he could not tell me anything. Of course we could not get the lights to come on during this visit.
Just had the same thing and using the switch it still stayed on? I also had a problem with the gear shift stuck in Park had to use a small screwdriver to get it out of park and back in park when I got home?
My ABS and BSLP were on intermittantly and 4wd wouldn't engage while lights were on. Dealer used code reader and it was showing a ABS wheel sensor losing contact. By the way when I went to the dealer the lights were off and everything was working fine. Replaced sensor and no problem since.
Your dealer is wrong. They don't have to duplicate the problem they just have to get off their lazy arse and hook up the Consult ll .
If your fluid is low, check your brake pads before you refill the fluid. My BRAKE, VDC OFF and SLIP lights were all coming on and I refilled my fluid with only about 10K miles on the truck. Turns out my pads were needing to be replaced according to Nissan. I just took the truck in 2 days ago (15K miles) because it was time to fill the reservoir again and there was only 5% of the pad left according to the service tech. Nissan replaced my pads for free, but when they pushed the caliper pistong back in, it dumped brake fluid out of the reservoir and all inside my engine compartment.

If only those 2 lights are coming on, you probably have a bad sensor. According to your Owner's Manual, you need to take it to the dealer for them to read the error code off the truck and determine the cause of the error.
