My A/C is very weak

Gotta '04 Armada, July build. I have to run in 3rd gear to get the AC to blow half azz cold. I threw the guages on it last night and the high side showed 360 lbs!!!! and around 65 lbs. on the low side. Any AC gurus know where the high side should be on these rigs? It would pull down some at 1500 rpms but at idle with that much head pressure it wont ever get cold. The rear vents in the roof blow hotter which I can understand loosing a few degrees traveling all the way back but something is not right.

I have to say if Nissan says there is no problem this is the worst AC in a vehicle I have ever owned.

I would be on the phone with the dealership and have them **** with it. You truck that is under a year old and should have no, and I mean NO, A/C problems. They shouldn't give you any gruff about it either.

Mine's totally cold. If you know the settings are correct, recycle on, AC on, temp setting, and you aren't relying on AUTO to cool for you, I'd bring it in. Doesn't make sense. My AC works better than the one in the Jetta or Infiniti.

Thanks for the input guys. Scr 38 if i am reading the chart right it looks like my head pressure is 100lbs over which would probably mean I definately have a problem. At 9:00 pm last night it was still 90 degrees here. I will keep you guys posted. Thanks again

Definitely let us know if adjusting the pressure makes a difference, cause my dealer said mine is accurate and it is still weak.

Well just got it back and they said it was a little low on gas. Now we had a cold front move in and its 78 degrees outside and a 10min. drive in town the temp showed 45 deg. coming out of my vents. If I turn the rear air on high it slowly moves up to 55 deg. In the long run when the outside temp moves back to 98 deg. + I will probably be right back where I started. Im surprised knowone blamed my stainless grill and the possibility of less air movement across the condensor. I guess will just have to deal with driving a large black bus in this southern heat.
