Clunking sound from center console

A loud clunking sound is heard from the shifter area on the center console every time the truck comes to complete stop or accelerates from a stop. The same sound can also be heard when you step on the brake with the truck on, in the park position. Please help dealer said they couldn’t duplicate.

I believe it's the park/nuetral safety switch solenoid. Some have been pretty noisey. Although irritating some solenoids are louder than others. Try this link it should give you more imformation. http://www.titantalk.com/forums/show...light=solenoid

yeah that does sound like what it is...what had me confused is when he said it happens when he accelerates...but he's taking his foot off of the brake pedal...i dont think its anything to be concerned about

I have a clunk at very slow speeds (less than 5mph) that i thought was comming from the front. After closer inspection i found it is comming from the rear leaf springs. If you shake the truck side to side very hard you can hear the noise. The noise is comming from the front bolt that connects the leaf spring to the frame.

I have not seen any posts on this but i am going to take mine back to the dealer to have them check this out.
