Man oh man. Had to bring my 05 titan back again because the right front passenger door won't open. Fortunately...this time it will open from the outside. Last go round, it was seized on the truck and had to removed from the inside out, which caused a ton of cosmetic damage.
My rear passenger door won't open from inside. It was like that when I got the truck, it was late and the salesman told me come back in the morning so they can fix it. When I did, found out had to order new handle, been two weeks and it's not in yet.
when i brought my truck home the day i bought it, my g/f went in the back seat and closed the door, when she wanted to come back out, she coudln't, the door wouldn't open from the inside, ended up being the child safety lock being on.

So I pick up my truck this afternoon, on a Sunday. Since the work was all warranty work, the cashier had my keys. I looked over the vehicle to see if they did any damage. I tested the door several times and looked over the interior (long story about my last visit). Anyway as I'm walking back around to the driver's side, I noticed what looked like some oil on my factory side steps. I saw it all sprayed in the wheel well (left rear) and looked under the truck to see it sprayed all over there too. Now, I had my truck in for brake shudder and they said they replaced al 4 brake pads and turned the rotors. Would they have to bleed the brakes to do this? Because, what looked like oil is not coming off of my steps and has managed to discolor the entire section behind the back black part.
What should my next move be, because I am so aggravated right now? I will never pick up when service is not there. The only reason I brought it back there is because they were the one's to deal with the door last.
If they replaced the pads, then the more than likely bled the brakes. Brake fluid can be an effective paint remover. I would say you need a long heart-to-heart talk with the service manager.

Thankfully I went back in to the dealership to have someone look at the fluid on my side step. I showed up around 1030 this morning, and the service manager said "we're not doing nothing to this truck". I said huh...i'll be right back. I went inside and fortunately, the guy that inspected the vehicle before I left was there. And to top it off, in front of the service manager, he said "No Bill, that was there when he picked it up". Otherwise, I'd have to live with the crap. Now they want me to go there at 10 on TUE to talk to the painter. OMG...are there going to try and cover up the mess. I should be getting a new side step!
I then was so upset, I came home after work and filled out the last survey Nissan sent me and then followed it up with a call to Nissan Headquarters. The customer service rep said they would get dinged for that. Who knows.
I've submitted two bad surveys. I'm not sure they do any good at all. My dealer just doesn't seem to care. After calling nissan, I did speak with the new service manager. I expressed several concerns. He promised to address all of them. I just dropped my truck off for the first judder fix. One of my original concerns, was that the as it was when I first complained. This is the last they'll see of me.

Painter rubbed all the paint off of the side step trying to get the oil off of the side step. New one was ordered and should be in tomorrow. They are taking care of it the way they should. I'm thinking it was flak oil when they were turning the rotors. I think I'll start over with a different dealer.
Yup, sounds like you had somebody who was careless bleeding the brakes. You are supposed to put a tube over the nipple on the bleed screw and put the end of the tube in a container so you don't spray brake fluid all over the place. You might also check under the hood, because if you push the caliper pistons back without bleeding fluid first, you can overflow the master cylinder and remove paint under the hood.
