If so, how'd it go? Does it work properly....I started to notice that my a/c has the symtoms of not cooling when its hot outside....but when I start moving it works fine. I'm sure the dealer wont believe me and they will say thats how its supposed to be...
i took my truck to the dealer for the same problem.they have not been tested over 109 degrees.so when its hot the fan doesent turn on.,or it was overcharged from the factory,so my service writer says

It's doesn't matter the if dealer will believe you or not, it's how they're treating you that count.
I've couple of Titans with same complaint, even though I did not experience the problem but after look into ECU to see if any TDC stored, the first thing I did is look to see if there's any TSB apply to that vehicle model year by VIN number, some time TSB is only apllies to certain build date, not all of them but,...
Anyway, yes, the TSB is supposes to correct the A/C problem, I've done couple of them and haven't heard anything yet.
Please post a thread after you get the work done. I'm real interested to hear about the results. My truck seems to do this at stop lights and when first started before taking off.

Last week i took my truck in for the tsb. This comes after several visits for the air not cooling at idle. Interesting that now a tsb is out after 2 dealers told me my truck is fine. Anyway, i had to point out the tsb for them. then at the end of the day, they told me my computer is fine and it only needs a cooling fan coupling, and not the condensor fan/ motor as it is fine. Now, as i read it, as my serial number matches the tsb, it is not a question of if it works or not, if you have the complaint, the repairs should be completed. The tsb says nothing about testing the parts, right?? iNCIDENTLY, I have a copy of the actual tsb from the dealer and it is clear cut, Im just not sure why the dealer is being a butt head about it.

The TSB give specific ser # ranges, if yours fitts it is in the group TSB. Without the ser# code guide you could only guess what the man. date is. Just look on the Ser# tag on the door
How are you guys getting this A/C work done? I've had the same problem with my A/C not cooling at idle and at first startup. It takes over 5-minutes to get cold at startup. Sitting at a long traffic light makes it blow warmer as well.
I took mine in and the service writer gave me a BS story on how this is perfectly normal and that the truck needs to be moving in order for the A/C to cool the cabin properly. He mentioned that air needs to be flowing over the condenser (while the truck is in motion) in order to for the A/C to feel at max cold. However, if I get caught in a prolonged idle situtation or get stuck in heavy traffic, the A/C starts to get obviously warmer. The service writer told me this is perfectly normal on the Titan.
Do you think if I brought a copy of the TSB in for him to look at that he'd change his tune and have a tech look at it? These guys seem to be trained as "experts" at weaseling out of things like this.

I had the Nissan fix of the a/c and it still doesnt work in high ambient temperatures. This is the fifth time the truck has been in for a/c. I bought a thermometer which showed that after 45 minutes of driving the air temp was 65, the inside truck temp was 87 and the outside ambient temp was only 85. The a/c works fine for the first 20-30 minutes of continuous driving and then dies, even after replacement of the converter clutch and reprogramming. What next? Taking the truck in this week.
OK... I just had the TSB done this week. It does make a difference. It will now cool at idle. It is still not where I would like it to be, but it is better. American cars just have larger coils from what the tech told me when I bought the truck. Anyway, it took the service manager to threaten the tech with dismisal to get the tsb done properly. Then low and behold, the ecm was reprogramed, the clutch installed as well as the blower/motor. Now if I could convince nissan that the main blower sucks, we might get somewhere. To all those that haven't gotten it done, DO IT! It is worth it. Take a copy of it to your dealer as most are unfamiliar with them as was mine. Demand they do it!

funny you say this....I just came from the stealership and he told me the exact same thing. He also added that my Armada has a big cabin so it will take a while to cool. I explained to him that the air coming directly out of the vents was not cool at all. This has nothing to do with the size of the cabin. Then I also pointed out that Nissan has a TSB for this exact problem. He told me his Cadillac does the same thing. I told him my VW and Ford dont do the same thing. I am bringing it back on Wednesday for them to look at at. So we will see what happens. Freakin 3100 miles on it and now the dealer wants to give me crap about this. Its just the little things like this that make me have a "love/hate relationship" with my Armada.
How would one know if his vehicle falls under this TSB? I dont really want to have to take my truck in, but i will if i need to.
