dealer cut all 4 rotors and replaced all pads

Guys, I went in for the front rotors warping. They cut all 4 rotors and replaced all 4 pads. They told me they added a shim kit? Now is this the fix, or will I warp them again. Also, does anybody know why the rears were cut and new pads replaced? Were they also bad?

Most likely they will warp again. The permanent fix is new rotors (bigger).

Exclamation Nissan Service Bulletin 04066c - BRAKES

On the web at: http://www.nissanhelp.com/Bulletins/Titan/2005/1.htm

Service Bulletin Num : 04066c
Date of Bulletin: MAR 23, 2005 View Document

Component: BRAKES
Summary: 2004-2005 NISSAN TITAN AND ARMADA; BRAKE JUDDER FROM FRONT BRAKES
---------------------------------------------------------------------

My truck: 2005 Titan XE Crew Cab, Production date: 02/2005, Purchased 06/2005. It's at 2,805 miles and starting to exhibit symptoms of brake "shudder". Found this service bulletin on the net and it states for the Nissan Serviceman to replace the parts - not to "skim the rotors" or some same nonsense. If you're having this problem, take a copy of the service bulletin to the dealer where you bought it. I sure am....

Note: the bulleting is dated 3/05, but applies to 2004 AND 2005 Titans.

Interesting, huh?

took mine in yesterday, for the brake fix. originally the told me the would only turn the rotors, and on the third time replace with the new brake kit. they went ahead and replaced the rotors in the front, turned the rear rotors and new pads all around(supposed to be less brake dust also ) on another note, it was also in for the A/C leak in the floor, and having to replace the drivers seat bottom. there was about a gallon of water in the passenger floor that i shopvaced out. they will be replacing the carpet when the seat bottom comes in.

Damn, Whats up with the shim kit and them throwing all new pads even in the rear? I can't figure out why they turned the rear rotors and set me up with new pads? The new pads are not broken in yet, but I guess the warping issue will be back. I need the thicker rotors. I thought maybe the shims will keep the pads more to the rotor, but if its heat, then they will warp again and again. Mine were bad also, good thumping in the pedal. they must have cut them hard! I give it 1500 miles. I live in PA HILLS, HILLS!

The shim kit was one of the FIXES that they tried. When you do get the new front rotors they will turn the rear rotors and replace and pads again though.
