Transmission/Rear End Vibration at take off

Ok, this weekend I hauled the largest load thus far on my titan.

ATV = 800lbs
ATV = 800lbs
ATV = 650lbs
ATV = 500lbs
Trailer = 1800lbs
Equipment = 200lbs

So, just under 5000lbs or so plus passengers.

The problem:

Every time I took off I felt a vibration/judder. It's like the brake problem except at take off and it was much stronger. Once the trailer/truck got moving a little bit it would go away. I do not have this problem with an empty trailer (1800lbs) or just the truck.

I have a 2004 Titan SE with about 11K miles on it.

Anyone have this problem? I searched the posts and found the transmission bolt issue and the rear diff problem but no one really had the same symptoms.

I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem, but could it be torque converter shudder/chatter or whatever you want to call it?

I didn't have any of these symptoms this weekend pulling my 8000-lb travel trailer.

Maybe the trailer itself has an alignment problem (or maybe the trailer has an alignment problem when loaded down?)

Had the trailer a while and hauled a lot of loads on it...never been a problem with my brothers Explorer either. Once the load gets moving it stops.

maybe it's the trailer with all that weight on it. when i towed my buddies samuari, i had vibration on take off, then it'd go away, that's because of the tires, procomp Xterrains. that sami is probably 1200lbs. i also tow our boat which is about 2600lbs and it's clean as a whistle. it's probably your trailer. hook the trailer up to another truck and see what happens. good luck!

Had the same load on the same trailer with a different truck......no problem. Plus...it doesn't do it until there is a load on the truck...for example...if I don't give it much gas it doesn't do it....or if I am facing down hill...the drivetrain has to have a strain before this happens.

I will double check with another truck but this trailer is about 4 months old and hasn't had this problem with another truck...I am thinking it's something in the Titan.

i have had the same problem for a few months and just found the problem. It was a broken rubber transmission mount on the crossmember. makes poping on hard takeoffs or under heavy load.

This is more of a judder/vibration but no noise. I haven't taken it to the dealer yet but plan on it soon. I just want to make sure that the problem is reproduced each time the circumstances are the same.

I haven't changed out the fluid in the diff yet..what weight should I use? IO have some Royal Purple 75wt that I can swap out this weekend.
