Driving down the highway at 70mph in cruise and all of a sudden BANG and the whole truck shut down, No power steering, No Power Brakes, no turn signals, no lights, no oil preasure.
Took it to the dealer and told them I feel unsafe driving that vehicle because it threatens my life. Dealer said we can't reproduce the problem so there is nothing wrong. Called Nissan and they said the same thing as the dealership. I expressed the important fact that the vehicle is un safe to drive and it threatens my life and they said bummer there is nothing we can do for ya.
Well it is Lawyer time and I believe a Judge would agree that a vehicle is un safe to drive if it shuts down completely at any time.
Good thing is my girlfriend was with me as a wittness.
I have also contacted the local news and radio and they are interested in doing a story on the situation. ( the Idaho Attorney General told me to do that)
Well man, I knw thats a scary feeling. it happened to me once in my older car. But did you expect Nissan to just take back your truck and give you another one or something? I mean the need to check it all out. Something might have jst grounded out and shorted. I don;t know if you need to start contacting the news and getting a lawyer already.

I gave the dealership an opportunity to diagnose and they said there is nothing wrong.
I drive on highways every weekend in the winter pulling a two place snowmobile trailer. Most of the time there is no shoulder to pull over on cuz of snowbanks/cliffs,ice. If there is no room to pull over and it shuts down again and a semi truck is doing 65mph behind me guess what will happen. BAD STUFF and I am not going to put my family in jeopardy like that. I think most people would agree. The Fixed Ops manager at the dealership even agreed with me that he wouldn't jeopardize his family in a situation like that.
I spent $30,000 plus on this vehicle to trasport me not to endanger my life or my families life.
I understand to that you were spooked and all, but you should give nissan a chance to find what is wrong before you crazy and start all kinds of stuff. I agree with antwon about possibly grounding something. I have been reading about titans for a year and never read/ heard about anything like that.

When it comes to lawyers a man and his money are soon parted. Sorry you feel like you have an urealible vehicle, but you most likely have a grounding issue. You will be able find it hopefully in the next few times it happens since you will likly know what electricnics were working when it happened.
From a previous post by you, it sounds like you felt the vehicle was "unsafe" back in December 2004.
"I would not recommend buying anything from this dealer. No professionalism or customer service. I told the salesman before I purchased is there any defects, recalls, or drivability problmes with this first year truck? The sales rep said absolutly not, Nissan did their homework and the truck is 100% solid. The main reason why I asked is because my Tundra had the same brake problem and Peterson Toyota in Boise Idaho told me sorry out of warranty your SOL(after replacing rotors, drums, pads, calipers). I told them I was un-safe driving the vehicle after they worked on the brakes. They said sorry. What is the deal with these automotive manufactures not being able to build a truck that works correctly? Maybe I should look at the domestic trucks."
Perhaps you should go for a "domestic" model and avoid the problems that Japan builds into their vehicles. Good luck.

Althoough it sucks that you are going through this, I have to side with Nissan. If it's not reproducable and doesn't throw a code in the ECU, then there's no evidence that it happened, they can't do anything about it.
If they just took your word, then they'd have to take everyone's word. And Americans have very vivid imaginations. Just keep on Nissan if this really did happen. And if it happens again, don't touch anything. Just call the dealer and tell them what happened and that you are stranded, they'll send out a tow, and fix it if it's still under warranty.
By the way, how'd you get it to the dealer if everything shut down. Did you restart the truck and everything was fine?

Sounds like you feel "unsafe" a lot. Seriously though if you had a complete shut down like that you would have thrown a code. My Spec V did the same thing when the ECU went and it damn sure threw a code. What you are saying sounds like a bunch of crap so you can get out of your truck. Gas prices too high for ya?
