the new rotors are warped

Well it's official. I had the brake fix done 2000 miles ago and they are warped again. They say they've seen this a few times so far. I asked are you going to put the same rotors on again. They say yes. That makes no sense. The old rotors lasted 5000 miles each time. The new 2000 miles. What a great fix. This will be the 5th set of brakes in 23000 miles. Is there anything I can do to be compensated for all this ****?

Are you really hard on brakes?? Just asking.......rotors get warped.....maybe you have another problem....maybe the rear isn't holding as much as it should.....maybe you have uneven pistion pressure on a caliper.....maybe you drag race to each stop light making the brakes very hot....

Give me any car/truck with what you consider good brakes and I can warp the rotors....

The final fix should be done on the third time. Stand up to them and demand that you get the real deal fix, if they do not comply go with another dealer.

In Michigan it only takes 4 tries at fixing the brakes before it falls under the Lemon Law.

I was contacted by a lawyer that has been so succesful at getting Titans and Armada's purchased back by Nissan, he is actually seeking out owners of these trucks.

I have had my brakes done 5 times and I faxed over all my paperwork and my payment statement so he can work on a possible buy back. I have a 2004 black CC SE and I am eyeballing a 2006 Red Alert CC SE that is at a local dealer. I think I may throw some aftermarket leather on this one as the factory cloth sure feels cheap.

I'm not sure what's going to happen yet so I am trying to not be to hopeful. He said it takes about 3-4 weeks to get a response from Nissan.

I think Nissan finally has enough kits so that you won't have to wait a certain amount of times anymore.

Are you sure that you got the 'pernanent fix'? I was told I had it the once before too, only to find out I didn't. If you did get them, and there's an issue, maybe you can persuade Nissan to pay for some type of aftermarket fix-like Bilsteins(sp). They've admitted there's a problem, so you might have some leverage.

Good luck...

Some dealers are still doing the "three-time-loser" crap before you get the real fix. I had the permanent brake fix done earlier this week and one dealer close to me is still turning the old rotors. Of course, it has to be the Nissan dealer which is the closest one from where I live as well.

Are you sure you got the latest rotors and pads?

Check your service receipt. It should say (40206-ZC01A) for the front rotors and (41060-ZC025) for the front pads. The permanent fix rotors have a deep step machined area between the disc surface and center hub.

I had "the fix" completed on Saturday. Before that I only had the other fix completed one time. Dealership just said they would go ahead and do the whole shebang since they had plenty of new parts. My brakes were not at all bad either nor could i replicate any judder they just put it on the rack and slapped the new parts on.

Must be, or must not be breaking in the brakes. I had the first set on the Armada, which weighs more and has large wheels and tires, for almost 9K without warping. They started to squeak so I had them replaced with the new brakes, which are now in stock at dealers. The new brakes work great. I brake hard and drive faster than anyone I know. I also tow. Not sure why he's having so many problems, again unless he is breaking them in incorrectly or not at all.

Here's what makers recommend for breaking-in brakes on the Tirerack site. No difference for brakes from a dealer.

constant hard braking will unevenly wear parts causing premature failure of components

I"m told I got the "permanent fix" last time. I can't find my receipt to prove it. When I talked to the service mgr, he said that I had the fix and they had seen a few come back warped again then said they would put the same rotors and pads back on again but do some other tweaks that the dealer wants them to do. I say BS. I wrote Nissan an email asking for aftermarket pads and rotors and haven't heard back yet. I'm not hard on brakes at all so this makes no sense to me. I told them to get some some F150 brakes or I'll just get the whole damn truck from Ford.

i've put ~4000 miles and it's good to go still. I have 22's so there's even more force on the brakes. Do you have lots of brake dust on the front wheels? if so, they didn't do the fix. I only wash my wheels when I wash the truck.

The good thing is they warranty the "brake judder" for 36k miles and unlimited mileage. I got a letter and a sticker stating that from Nissan.

You mean 36 months/unlimited miles?
The turn rotors three time thing was a delay tactic so Nissan to get enough "New" rotors for the fix. I believed the newest TSB for brake judder tells the dealer to replaced rotors first time in (if parts is in stock).
I would link you guys to that but it will get blocked.
