Water in intake

ok well ive had my 08 pro4x for like six months now and well i finally took it into some real mudd the problem is that after the first run it would rev over 2500 rpm after looking under the hood i figured out that the intake sucked in water but just up to the filter ( k&n) after it had dried the truck ran like new. Well just wondering if anyone had the same problem and if they got it fixed

ya its happened to me also. I had the AEM CAI and went banging through a mud hole, got the filter wet and the truck would studder until it dried out, then it was fine. Do a search for a company caller "Outerwears" It a slip on element that goes over the filter and repels water and sand. Works like a charm and for $30 its cheap insurance
