First time I saw this thread. Great idea Phoebisis. My build date was 7/04. My dealer replaced the entire rear (brakes too) in less than a week. I do not baby my vehicles, however I've never had a diff go bad. just this one.

Tom, I will contact your dealer. Too bad someone running the place must have his head up his ***. I think you'll get your problem worked out, all they can do is give you a hard time. But they can be forced to fix it.

DUDE, THANK YOU, nobody else had much good things to say. I know I'm obnoxious about this whole thing but it bummed my trip! I wanted this truck for a year then when I get it two months later it broke. Everyone even on here wants to sit back and talk trash about the ford post or hot rodding.

I have the dealers phone and fax phone is 808 329 4408 and fax is 808 329 7499 if anyone else wants to bother them.

They've very fraudlent, all I ever hear is bad stories about new cars and nightmare's like mine. I've still to wake up and say "it was just a bad dream", lol. Kinda sucks. They're taking care of it now, I'd like to see them put in there place though. SO I have a trick up my sleeve for them, it involves media though so I can't really keep the titan after that lol. Well I could but both Nissan's here are owned by the same guy , so I'll be paying for all work after that unless I do the same things lol.

They always have to order your parts, then two weeks later call you to go there to sign papers to order your part(s) again. My buddy is on his second new dodge from them and told me. It's always about a month to get an appointment... and just terrible stories lol. I met a guy yesterday who bought a dodge from oregon and they didn't want to warranty it. He complained and complained and finally they did. Had to fix some electrical problem... Wanted him to pay $700, then the very 1st lawyer I called his secretary lemon lawed her dodge from them through dodge direct after they yelled at her that she was using brakes too much and they couldn't fix the leaking ac fluid into her car after like 5 tries. So Dodge sent her check direct. ah nuff for now sorry for the OT. later guys.

My axle started clunking when I first purchased the truck brand new. I notice these little things and began hearing a slight clunk reversing out of the driveway... I brought this to the dealerships attention back at 3000miles and then repeatedly over the past few months, though they have done nothing to rectify the problem, nor could they find anything.(But they are MORONS)

Well, about 2 months ago when I had some new exhaust installed I noticed that the rear diff. cover was leaking. When the brake upgrade was installed they discover that the rear seals where leaking and the axle was bent. They told me that it was physical damage and if I wanted to pay $1000 bucks they would fix it.

No problem Tom. You would think warranty work would not be an issue .....these guys sound like real winners

Anyway I called Hawaii and it was only 5 PM there so I got a hold of Jeff. (It was 10 PM here.) So I mentioned you, and the diff and he said they were trying to take care of it under warranty even though the truck had scuffs under it. He sounded kinda timid. Probably scared of losing his job. Anyway I identified myself and told him the diff problem is a big problem to many people and it is faulty from the factory and they were required to fix it, the scuffs under the truck were irrelevant, my dealer took care of mine. I also stated that Nissan is going to eventually have to change to something better. He just said OK, thanks.

Too bad you don't have any choice but deal with this moron dealership. I'd say just keep us informed and more people should call and let them know they can't just weasel out of it. They may change their attitude if enough people ask them what's going on there. Maybe Nissan headquarters would help you out too if you need.

Keep Posting and Keep asking for help if you need it!!!! it can't hurt

Maybe it's just me, but I kinda enjoy making irritating phonecalls to people like that.

scuffs under the truck? LOL, 1st I've heard of this. I can GUARANTEE, I've never ran anything over, or bottumed out the truck in any way. They were saying I was burning rubber, next it'll be the TV n the dash LOL. Thanks a bunch man my friends and I tease them all the time,"can't put in sunvisors, might void my suspension warranty", can't get tint, motor might blow every once in a while when we drink. That was what happened the night my buddy put up the towed the parked honda thing lol. The Ford guys absolutely didn't fall for it lol. They seem to be truck oriented, not to hate on anyone here. IMO only a select few here own TRUCKS, most have nice cars lol.
