is it normal for u joints to sling grease every where?

It is not normal for any U-Joint to sling grease at all. Modern U/J seals hold up to abuse that boggles the mind compared to U/Js from days past. If you have one slinging lube...better check it, or get it checked soon.

Which U-joint are you referring to? I had what looked like a U-joint slinging grease, when it was acutally a leak from inside the yoke at the pinion that made it's way into the rear U-joint, and then splattered diff oil all over the place.

front drive shaft front ujoint. took truck to dealer for front diff seal and he said its normal for ujoint to sling grease. ive never seen this before, but ya know the dealers always right.

My dealer said mine was normal also initially (rear diff). I was able to get mine to leak at the pinion by parking the truck nose down, and took a digital pic of the diff oil coming out of the u-joint. They ordered me a new axle.
