It'll crank, but won't fire...guess what dealer said...

Drove 20 miles to my parents...stayed 2 hours...tried to drive home...nope...

It'll turn, it'll crank...but it sure's heck wouldn't fire!

After a 1/2 hour of trying, I gave in and called AAA for a tow to the dealer.

My 04 KC 2wd with 23k on the dial was loaded up and carted off.

I get a call today...the dealer is telling me it's not the fuel pump as expected...but the chip in the key that is failing and not communicating with the computer? What the heck?

Then he tells me that I need to bring over all the keys I have since none will work anymore....

This truck is killing me.

Part of the theft dettorant system. They most likely replaced the key chip sensor around the ignition switch. Yes all your keys need to be reprogrammed. I'd get Nissan to flip for the tow bill.....

One good thing out of it that you know the theft system works
