Got my truck back just now, to my suprise invoice stated "resurfaced" all rotors and replace with all new pads front and rear. I talk to the service advisor and reminded him he stated to me on the phone that I would be getting new rotors. After some checking he stated that per my VIN I already have the updated rotors from the factory and they only needed to replaced the pads. Can anyone confirmed this to be the case or had anyone else with the judder fix got this same answer? Don't get me wrong the new brake stop better than before and the judder is gone, not sure if I'm going to be making another trip to the dealer after awhile.
Thanks

Thats a good question. I just dropped my '05 off this morning to get the judder fixed. Only 4700 miles on it and the judder started at around 2000.
When I talked to the service dude on the phone yesterday he said that my '05 should already have the new rotors. I told him I doubt it.... mine was manuf. on 04/05 and he tended to agree that it prob doesnt have the new rotors. He said they will replace the front and rear rotors and pads. I expected the front rotors but not the back as well.
Somehow i get the feeling mine will end up being a resurface also.
Should be done tonight... will post the results when I can.
Its the caliper torque members that they replaced on mine with new pads on all corners. They did not replace my rotors. I got 4 new pads that give no brake dust and bite harder now. I have not had the jutter since. I suspect that the torque members on the calipers were the issue, they left alot of slop in the pad rotor contact and I don't think the rotors warped from that or I would have even more warpage since they cut them. I got 2 new torque members on the front.

Titan Brake Judder/ Rotors warped warranty replaced and indexed front brake rotors. Inspect torque members only. Latest version already installed. Replaced front brake pads and torquee member bolts. measured and resurfaced rear rotors on car rotors measure 13.6 and 13.7 mm after resurfacing. Replaced rear brake pads. Inspect brake pedal free height. No adjustment necessary.
I went ahead and had them balance and rotate the tires which obviously was out of my pocket.
The service guy (Chad) thought they were going to replace the back rotors but corrected himself when I picked up the truck.
So new front rotors, pads and rear rotors resurfaced and new pads.
Brakes feel excellent now.
Was a painless experience and am extremely happy with the service I received from O'neill Nissan of Overland Park, KS.

I had the fix and all they gave me was the new pad kits. They said I already had the new rotors. I still get brake dust like crazy, I mean I can drive 10 miles and there is enough to come off on my finger. I thought that once you get the fix the brake dust is almost gone?

My brakes were done in June and my wheels are always dust free. Since I've been neglectful in washing the truck I'm very aware that there is hardly any dust.

You have two choices in life:
You can stay single and be miserable,
or get married and wish you were dead.
I am also 4/05, and I had the old rotors. However it doesn't sound like your service advisor is lying to you, I believe 4/05 was the mix month where some had new rotors and others didn't.

Mine a 2004 and its in for the brake fix as we speak (11-22-05) I dropped it off yesterday and hopefully my brakes will get fixed...I got a loaner cuz supposadly they will be checking other stuff and it wont be done till probably Friday...I already miss my truck but hopefully itll come back in better shape and with less dust, that will be great with the chrome rims!
Mine was done on November 12th and they replaced the front rotors, the invoice looks just like the service bulletin. They also did the recall for the tow hookup electrical. Didn't even know about that one. I just got the postcard today from Nissan telling me to take it in for the electrical
Just an update, I received a call from Nissan this morning. They did verified that I had the "newer" rotors from the factory. They told me to look at the rotors, if it have a Groove near the center hub it's the newer one, they say the old rotors is straigh all the way to the center hub with no groove.
My rotors look like the one on the right, so I guess I did have the new rotors.
