$109 oil change.....

i called the saleman that i bought my truck from to check to see if the brake parts were in for my truck yet...of course they're not (6 weeks). while i'm on the phone with him i say "the sticker on my windshield says the oil is due at 15,500 and i'm at 15,300, can you set up an appointment to get the oil done for me?" he says "sure no problem". he arranged for them to pick it up from my fiance's office and return it there. so, the afternoon of the appointment, my cell phone is going nuts while i'm in the clock-out line so i call her as soon as i get outside. she asks how much i was expecting the bill to be. i figured $30-40 since the titan uses like 5 GALLONS of oil. well, apparently the saleman set up a 15,000 mile service instead of just an oil change and the bill was $109. which my fiance went ahead and paid since she was pretty busy when they brought the truck back. i called the service department and the woman i talked to seemed very disinterested and told me to call back today. the saleman is currently out of town. what should i do? i didn't ask for a 15,000 mile service....i know the best case scenario would be if my fiance hadn't paid, but it's too late for that..any suggestions? i want some money back!

on a side note, i asked that they address a couple warranty issues.....the reply to all of these was "reschedule" or "unable to duplicate" on the work order.

Nooooooooooo. At the dealer? THEY SAID THAT? That neeeever happens. They dont make $109 on warranty work! I have found when dealing with the dealer EVERYTHING must be clearly stated (clearly stated means repeated 3 or 4 times while looking in the advisers eyes) or in writing. Sound to me like they were just busy and wanted to make the money and say deal with the other stuff if he dares to bring it back. If I have an issue with warranty work I always ask to talk to the machanic that is going to work on it and personally show him the prob. Though be it convienant to have them pick it up and return it to you, dont expect them to do what you want to a tee. I would Nicely raise he11 about it. Good luck

Re: $109 oil change.....

This thread reminded me that I need to get the 15k service done on my truck. I just called the dealer and the cost is $259.95 for the 15k service. What did they do besides the oil change? It sounds like they did more than an oil change but less than the full 15k service.
