Wierd Warning Lights

Normally if I turn VDC off and accelerate heavily, the slip light will come on as long as the tires are still spinning freely. Last week, I was getting on it pretty hard and instead of the slip light coming on, the parking brake light flashes??? The red brake light comes on for a second until wheel spin stops and it feels like the titan is a little sluglish, but I double checked to make sure the parking brake was not engaged. Any suggestions or causes for this??

Thanks

Re: Wierd Warning Lights

I assume it is, I just had the rotors redone about 2000 miles ago, so it would seem logicial that they would have checked the fluid, maybe not... I am taking it in next week to address the rear end, so I will have them check it then

Re: Wierd Warning Lights

I had the same issue, and the dealer told me it was b/c my brake pads were 60-70% woren. In turn, the fluid in the master cylinder was down a little more than usual. They added a little more fluid and that seemed the cure the problem.

Of course they told me they could replace the pads for me. I took the truck home, pulled off one of the front tires and found less than 50% of the pads gone.

Re: Wierd Warning Lights

Hey bro...that happened to me a while back after I had taken my truck in to get my AC checked....

I looked under the dash cuz the light kept flashing like all of a sudden when Id turn hard opr something...turns out for SOME reason I guess when putting the computer to the truck or SOMETHING, the clip attached to the emergency brake was put on backwards so every little jerk would cause it to think it was engaging...so I took the clip out and put it the right way on...it snapped in like it should and havent had the problem anymore...maybe that could help....

Re: Wierd Warning Lights

Happened to me about week and half ago. Brake fluid look fine but I went ahead and added a little bit anyway. Brake light has not come back.
