my right front tire on my offroad titan continually loses air. after about 2-3 weeks, the PSI will drop to as low as 25 psi and the low tire pressure sensor will detect it. the others lose minimal psi... perhaps 1 or 2 psi if any. i think this has been a problem from the dealership.
what do you guys think the problem is? the tire pressure sensors? a bad tire?
if it is a bad tire, i'd like the manufacturer to replace it since the dealership says they don't warranty tires. i can then rotate my spare tire in with the new tire i'd be getting if that was, indeed, the problem.

The best way I've found to detect slow leaks is with a water hose. Jack that wheel up and run water over the tread area as you rotate it. Any air escaping will make bubbles. You should also check around the beads in the same manner to make sure the tire hasn't lost any of its seal to the rim.
thanks for the advice. the weather is pretty cold around here so i'll have to wait. i plan on getting my brake service done soon so i'll probably have them check it out.

I agree with pagerdaddy - I would suspect the beads and/or the valve stem.

I do believe there is a TSB out on leaking tire pressure sensor valve stems. It's not the core, but the stem itself where it seals up agsainst the rim. make up a batch of soapy water (just a little dishsoap) and spray/pour it over the valve stem when it is at the 6 o'clock position. If it bubbles around the stem itself, you have likely found the culprit.

He might not be able to air up the tire with a frozen valve stem

If all else fails you might want to check to see if the problem is with the wheel. It is not unheard of that a tire loses air through the porous casting of aluminum wheels. Here is just one source that addresses the issue: http://www.fordfestiva.com/repair_da..._air_leaks.htm
i purchased a sportbike back in 2001 and the rear tire kept losing air. the dealership found out that there was a pin-sized hole in the wheel. they gave me a brand new wheel and tire. even though the original tire only had 300 miles on it, burned all the tread off. hehe.
i'll keep you guys updated and thanks for the info.

Bad luck with this myself. I took it to the local Goodyear dealer to cover all my bases before ranting on the dealership for the Valve Stem TSB, and it was a nail. Since they already had it off and broke down I paid the 20 bucks to have it fixed. I found out later at yet another trip to the dealership, that they would have done the same thing to me since it was only ONE tire going down. Valve stems come in 5 not 1, so I guess it was just my turn to pay. I imagine that is the same thing it will end up being for you.

I had a friend with the same problem. It ended up being the rim itself on the inside. Nissan replaced the wheel for him.

Have your valve stem checked and have your tire rotated 180 degrees on the rim. Mark your tire and rim with a crayon before you go to the tire store. Your kid or the neighbors kid has one. Thats how you check. After they dismount your tire, look at the bead. Make sure they are clean.
There is a TSB on the tire pressure sensor. Take it into the dealer and have them put a new o-ring on the sensor that is leaking. RF in your case Foodstamps.
