This Thunk and judder feel on my arse everytime i come to a dead stop and right at the moment of acceleration out of a stop. I'm not sure what is causing this thunk, but it's really annoying the crap out of me. Greg watched the rear leaf spring while I move the truck forward and backward, and It's not a axle wrap on my 4x2. I have a 2006 with 2k miles and i really hate to have to bring in to the idiots at the dealership. I'm starting to think it's the rear diff's back lash is out of adjustament. Anyone have this problem as well with their 2006?
I don't see how you could see axle wrap... but, if you put a u-bolt on each set of leaf springs (left and right) and tighten it down to help hold them togethor I'll bet you will not feel it anymore. It sounds just like the problem many of us have had with our Titans and that is the solution that almost all of us have had success with.
Good Luck.

I had this problem on my 2004 Titan. Dealer put in a new driveshaft, problem fixed. I think it has something to do with the 4x2 trucks only. Of course they only fixed it after a fight with them. They claimed it was normal and the mechanics old chevy does the same thing, it's just "how trucks are".
