sunroof wind noise
Its finally nice out so I get to use my moon roof and it makes alot of wind noise. even when going though town. Is it just mine or does everyones make noise.

thats common to a moonroof. you should order a moonroof air deflector. they make a factory accessory one that you can order, it will cut down on the wind noise.

I have had cars w/ moon roofs and made less noise, but I guess its the aerodynamics of the truck?
I was just seeing if everyone had whistling wind noise, and making sure mine wasnt defective in some way. p.s. moonroof air deflectors are ugly imo. thanks for the reply racefan. |

The noise is normal. However I have found varying success with changing the opening of the sunroof. With it not quite wide open it isnt as loud as it is wide open. Hope this helps!

mine makes no noise, just the occasional flaping of air sound like extreme bass or somthing, i open the back windows partially to fix that.

Does anyone have one of these sunroof deflectors installed?
How well does it work? Is it worth putting one on? Does it help when the window is tilted up, or when the window is retracted? Both?
