Pictures of my in cabin filters

Here are a couple of pictures of my in cabin filters. They are 14 months old with 14k miles. The green stuff is insulation from the dash. The white stuff is the actual filter rotting away. There was a lot of dirt/dust trapped in the filter, but it is hard to tell with all of the debris.
The filter was a little moist, but that is to be expected as we are near 130 inches of rain so far.
Bottom line check your filters if you have them. KC don't come with them unless the dealer or you install them. CC come with them. I was wondering why I was having to turn up my fan to get adequate air flow!

Re: Pictures of my in cabin filters

You have to take out the glove box. Real easy, 6 screws ans one hex head screw that requires a pair pliers, nut driver or the proper size socket. If you buy your filters from Nissan instructions come with the filter. Jet Tech has a thread on here that shows this with pictures.
Anyway, even if you are slow 20 minutes is plenty of time, and anybody can do it.
You can bet I will be checking mine every six months, if not sooner.

Re: Pictures of my in cabin filters

I changed mine out at 14K also, they were dirty but didn't look anything like skyhammer's. He's got a tougher environment than most.

Re: Pictures of my in cabin filters

NAPA also sells the Titan filters. They are about 20% cheaper than Nissans, but look identical. I have the part # somewhere. There is a thread on this site that has the #.

actually, there are two "quick release hinge pins' that you can pull out to remove the glove box. No screw removal required.

Im shocked that nissan didnt include these on every model, what cheap bastards! mine was empty, guess ill have to pick one up.
