Paint Chipping on Running Board

Has anyone else experienced this? I went to the local dealer yesterday to see if they had touch up paint. She told me that it was an aftermarket part and they didn't carry it.Is this true? You would think with as many Titans that come with the running boards they would have touch up paint for them.

Re: Paint Chipping on Running Board

Yep, the step boards on my LECC started losing powder coat last year. I discussed it with the SM - he said he'd replace both under warranty. We agreed to wait 'til the winter was over. I'm getting close to my next scheduled service, so I'll set up an appt. for both in May.
The chipping isn't bad - mostly along the plastic treads on the outboard, and several locations inboard (you have to open the doors to see it).

Re: Paint Chipping on Running Board

Mine has started to chip off on the passenger side - size is about 1"x2". This is a warranty item so I'll mention it to the service manager when I take it back for the trailer connection recall.
