What PSI activates sensors?

All of my tires are at 35 psi but the tire pressure light is still on. The sticker in the wheel well says 35 psi. Can someone tell me what psi it is supposed to be at? Thanks. BTW it's on an '04 KC 4x2

Re: What PSI activates sensors?

It's 28 psi but you have to drive for a few minutes before it will turn off.

Re: What PSI activates sensors?

thanks guys. I forgot i had to drive a while. Isn't it activated by static electricity or something. I guess the back tire at 24 psi activated it. Thanks again guys.

There has been some discussion about this and not sure if had been completely answered. It is either a certain speed, or the rotation of the tire. I believe it is the rotation of the tire causes the sensor to send out a signal.

Re: What PSI activates sensors?

I had mine going off all the time and intermitantly. Only after three trips to the dealer complaining about it did they finally determin that was a bad BCM transmitter. It took a month to get it but it seems to have solved the problem. I had to push them to even address the problem!! They kept telling me to put 38 psi in my tires and I refused. So if it keeps up make them fix it!
