truck going to the dealer for warranty work- should I put the stocks back on?

So I'm taking my truck in for some things- rusty diff cover, a few noises (including that humming sound) and whatever else I can think of later on. I have some 20" wheels and 305/55/20 AT's on there. Do you guys think I should throw my stocks back on just in case- or should I not worry about it. I just don't want them to come back with a "well you have these tires, that's why...." or will they not care? Not a big deal for me but would rather not have to jack the truck up and swap wheels.

It only takes about 30 mins to put your others on, so I would do that just in case.

I guess a question for you would be, how are they about doing work.
If you have to fight them for everything, then I'd switch them back.
Half an hour of work now may save HOURS of headahce and hassle!

If they're pretty good about repairs, then I'd say no big deal
But that's somehting you'll have to decide.

Good luck!!

Re: truck going to the dealer for warranty work- should I put the stocks back on?

I have never had a problem with my dealer & i have a quite a few mods. I guess it depends a lot on your area, around here in SoCal it seems like most trucks have od's so if they refused to work on moded trucks they would never have any work.

Gardena Nissan, where I got my truck. When I took it there a few months ago it didn't have the wheels and tires.

Re: truck going to the dealer for warranty work- should I put the stocks back on?

When I took my truck in because the left rear was lower than the right rear, they told me it was because I had the DR coilovers on and was probably the cause. They wouldn't even take the time to look at it. This was at Performance Nissan in Duarte. The guy had the nerve to call me and ask me to give him a good review on the survey. Ha! He's lucky I didn't respond to it at all.

Thankfully there is a new Nissan dealership opening up in Covina just a few miles from my house. Hopefully they will be better than Performance was. The funny thing is they are known for custom building cars and trucks with whatever goodies you want on it. Whatever...

So to answer your question...I would. I don't know if YOU need to but I would.

Yeah, I'll put them back on. I should know this by now, having been through @#$@ with my old Toyota truck (lowered, etc). I guess I'll have to do some grunt work, heh.
