Windshield Washer Fluid Leaking

I noticed the dash light telling me I was low on Windshield washer fluid, so I bought a gallon and poured in into the resevoir. This morning I found all of it on the garage floor, so I'm guessing that my container must be leaky. Has anyone else had this problem, or do you know how to remove the resevoir?

There is one screw on the side that need to be remove. Than you can lift the tank straight up.

There are 2 screws/bolts. 1 by the radiator and 1 by the LF headlight, between the grill and the core support. Both the same size. The plugs for the electrical connections are tough to deal with due to minimal clearance.

Thanks to both of you for your information. I went by the Nissan dealer to get a Chiltons repair manual and they said that they didn't carry them any more. Surprise! Guess I'll have to check the Internet.

Re: Windshield Washer Fluid Leaking

I am having the exact same problem. Did you find out the problem? I'm figuring the line came off somehow. Thanks.

Re: Windshield Washer Fluid Leaking

Yes I have had this problem too. The rubber hose attaches in the back of the resevoir near the electrical connections. On my truck the hose came off a couple times until I put the hose back on and put a zip tie over the hose. Seems to be holding so far. I have also had it come off farther up. (zip ties galore on it because I hate not being able to wash my windshield). To determine where its leaking, just pop your hood and have someone hold the washer fluid thing down for a second. Should be pretty apparent where in the hose it's leaking.....

Re: Windshield Washer Fluid Leaking

Thanks for the info. I figured it was a line that popped off. I wonder if a small hose clamp would prevent the line from coming off as opposed to zip ties?? I'll give it a try!

Re: Windshield Washer Fluid Leaking

I'm sure if you could find a small enough hose clamp, it would probably work better--I was working out on a rig where supplies are kind of limited.
