We have a 2006 Titan XE crew cab. Doesn't have a key fob. When you open the passenger door with the key the alarm goes off. Dealer has said that you need to go the driver side and turn it to the left and then back to the right to disengage the alarm. Yeah right. Also said maybe has the wrong door handle from the factory. Great. Said right hand side shouldn't have a lock on them. Can any of this really be true? Help.
A keyed passenger side door is definitely not normal unless Nissan has made some mid model year design change (I have an 06 SE CC with no passenger side key entry). I am still trying to figure out how this could be possible. Normally only the drivers side is keyed so even if they accidently installed the wrong handle which would have to be installed upside down where did they get the extra lock core? Under normal circumstances no 2 door handles would ever accept the same key.
This isn't my area of expertise but it might be possible to tap the wires that send the disarm signal to the BCM and run it over to the passenger door so that turning that lock would send the same signal. I would assume that the lock in the passenger door is the exact same as the drivers door (since this is the only one normally installed) so you might be able to make the connection. Someone who has had their door apart and is more familiar with the service manual might be able to help more.

The XE KC doesn't have power locks and/or keyless entry. So they DO have a key cylinder on the passenger door. Otherwise, you would have to get in the driver side, unlock the door, walk all the way back to the passenger side, then open the door for whatever reason you wanted in there in the first place...which after that long walk both ways around the Titan, you probably forgot why you wanted in there to begin with.

Hyperion, does your 06 SE CC have keyless entry? It just seems strange that Nissan would think there is no need for anyone to be able to unlock the passenger side door with a key...

That make alot of sense. I know on previous vehicle I can turn the factory alarm off with the key in the door wither driver or passenger side. Never knew that the XE have kwy holes on both side. Learn something new.
Thanks for everyone's help. Interesting solution to our problem. It turns out that while our truck came with power locks and no keyless remote, the truck actually has the keyless remote system (the receiver I guess) installed. We got the remote key fobs from the dealer and everything works fine.
