**water underneath the drivers side & passenger side seats**

guys,

plz check for water underneath your seats, right where the foot a/c vent is for the rear passengers, this will be located underneath the drivers seat & pass seat. i ran my a/c at aprox 4pm today, then i started to clean out my truck at about 9pm and i noticed that misc papers that i had underneath were soaked. i touched the floormat under the seats and they were soaked...
WTF!!!!
ive heard of the front floorboards being wet but not the carpet under the seats....
please check!!!!

Re: **water underneath the drivers side & passenger side seats**

The infamous AC evaporator leak. Take it to the dealer, they would replace the drip hose with something longer so water don't run back into the cab. Goodluck.

Re: **water underneath the drivers side & passenger side seats**

ok I had the same problem and took it to the dealer today .. The passenger side was of course the A/C drip line but the drivers was a whole different story. After flooding my truck with water the dealer found one of the body seams at the firewall and floorboard wasn't sealed right ... they resealed it and adivsed to drive for a bit and recheck.. if no more water they are gonna clean the carpets to get rid of smell. They told me if they were unable to get the musty smell out they would replace the carpet. I told to go ahead and order it because there is no way they can get rid of it enough for me. He advised he had to at least try for warranty purposes but he would replace it to make me happy. Hope this helps ..

Re: **water underneath the drivers side & passenger side seats**

Haha, this is funny, just about to make a thread about this. I have been smelling a musky, moldy smell in my truck recently but not seeing anything. I have had summer school the past few weeks and here in Florida I run my A/C while waiting for classes to start. I have an hour between classes. School is over so I went to clean my truck today, to my dismay I find the smell underneath my floormat, my carpet is full of mold and water underneath the mat on passenger side. Went to dealer and they told me that its proably my fault because, you ready for it, "You park your truck under a tree." What am I to do? Sorry, had to rant.

Wow Mike, That's really nasty!! You need to make them replace all your carpet, and give you some other free services on top of that!!! Tell them they must live under a rock, right below the tree that park your Titan under!!

Re: **water underneath the drivers side & passenger side seats**

I had a leak in my truck also that was causing the carpet to get wet under the seats all the way up to the front. It turned out to be the rear window! Water came in and ran down the back wall then down the floor up to the front of the truck. And there is a TSB for this as well.

Re: **water underneath the drivers side & passenger side seats**

Welcome to the frustrating world of water leaks and the Titan.
The water leak in my truck has been repaired 5 times over the last 9 months and the carpeting has been replaced 4 times due to mold.

My truck has literally spent weeks in the shop being water tested.

First they performed the A/C TSB.

Then they said they found an unsealed bolt on the undercarriage where the center console is mounted.

Then they sealed some other seams.

Nissan finally sent out their own technition to take a look at it an they told me that the leak was an unsealed bolt in the firewall. They said they fixed it and then the replaced the carpets again. Guess what. 2 weeks later, my floorboard was soaked.

Since they have actually found several leaks, My concern is that this truck was probably not sealed correctly or at all in the factory.

So I told Nissan, give me a new truck, my money back, or we'll sort it out in court.

My lawyer is now negotiating with Nissan to replace the vehicle. They have already agreed to replace it, but they want me to pay for mileage, and I'm not willing to do that as this point.
