KC door wont open from the outside.

Any one else have this problem. I went to put my son in his carseat earlier today and the door handle on my king cab pull out and stayed in the open postion but wouldnt open. When i looked closer the bottom screw had backed most of the way out. And the top screw could easliy be turn with your finger. Im guess the outside handle must have come away from the hardeware in the door inside latch works fine. I will be taking the truck in first thing in the morning will let you know what they say.

Weird, never has happened to me...mine actually makes a noise when i open the regular door like it is unlocking it...it's kind of weird, cuz sometimes ill try to open it and ill hear an electronic click, then it will open.

Well i stopped by the dealer today. The service rep. came out looked at the lock kinda puzzled. Said he would be back in a minute. came back with a screw driver took out the two screws pulled on the latch and it popped right back to the normal postion. Apparently this is a fairly common problem that can ocur if someone is to hard on the latch when they open the door. Its a pretty easy fix you defintly can do it yourself.

My dealer not so smart. I have to go BACK in to have the ordered part replaced blah blah blah....

I had the same thing a couple of years ago. Make sure they lube the new latch or you will develop a squeek.
