Looks like those bolts were the problem. I still took it in to the dealer and after they almost backed my truck into a 55-gallon drum (I was about to kill, let me tell you, especially when all the service guys were standing around laughing about the near hit, I guess they didn't think I was watching through the bay window), anyways they found the noise, tightened the "dash support bolts" to factory spec because they were loose and the noise so far is gone.

Thanks for all the help everyone. It made a difference when I was taking the guy on the drive after the service guys drove it and couldn't find it when I told him it was not the key fob, or the seat belt and all the things I had tried you all told me about.

deja vu...... I had a little rattling/clinking noise coming from somewhere in the dash too. With my bad hearing I couldn't tell where or what direction is was coming from. Hearing loss thanks to VietNam....... Anyway, after a few days of trying to figure it out I happened to look at my big set of keys. One of the keys was just lightly bumping the steering column. dammmmm keys anyway......
