Guys- I haven't had the truck in 4wd since this summer. The engine oil level was never "overfull" and it hasn't been hot outside. What are your opinons?
not sure what the problem is...mybe im unfamiliar with this breather tube... what does 4wd have to do with it? if you are referring to the diff breather tube what does engine oil have to do with it?
i belive this is the front differential breather... follow the tube down to be sure i am pretty sure cause i saw it in mine and didnt know what it was until i followed it.. as for how oil got up there, i dunno... maybe someone else can shed some light.... sorry i cant help
thats much better info... always post pics when you can, i definately helps the troubleshooting process...
I got my titan in August of 04. I now have just over 25K miles on it. I changed the front diff fluid at 15K miles. I just started having the same issue (first time it got kinda cold here in AL this winter (cold defined as sub 20deg F). Was planning to send it to the dealer tomorrow. Any advice would be helpful.

I bought mine in Dec. 04 and this is her first cold winter and she's leaking too! It happened the day that I had planned to take her in for an oil change so I asked the tech. to take a look at it. He said the half-shaft (right side) had slid out enough to break the seal. I haven't looked for myself very deeply but I guess I need to verify that the leak is not coming from that breather tube.
