had that judder real bad in my 04 cc. factory recall for some brake module, i'd have to read the invoice to see exactly what they did. cost nissan about 800 bucks when all was said and done, and i got new rotors.
Steve...This is the most informative post I've read here or elsewhere. This explains the cause and effect of all the Titans brake issues.
Your statement about turning rotors really should hit home with all the owners of 2004's and some 2005's.
When the judder issues began, many Nissan dealers had none of the new brake parts, so they turned the warped rotors (A No No under any circumstance), and replaced the pads. The brake judder then re-appeared within a few days.
The Titan got a bad rap...still unresolved among the many 2004 owners, because the dealers were unprepared to handle the issues.
Amazing first post. Usually we get trolls, not real information. Thanks.

well... it looks like it is strating to happen again. I am going to wait till it is completely obvious with no denying that the rotors are warped again or that it is indeed brake judder. Seems to only be bad at sparatic times so far so kind of hard to tell for sure. Its been a little over 3k miles since last time now.

here we go again. while i do not doubt that pad material can and does imprint onto a rotor and cause "judder", anyone who says rotors do not warp have never turned a rotor on a brake lathe and witnessed it firsthand.

I just resurected my thread instead of starting a new one. I guess every 3 months I will have to resurect it for the same reason...
I hope not... This is why I am going to wait a week or 2 to make sure that i am not just loosing my mind and imagining that my steering wheel is shaking while my foot is on the brake.

I have had 2 of the new brake fixes , new rotors and all. The fix is not as good as we think. I have heard that Nissan will no longer fix the brakes if you have had the new design installed. They fixed mine but probably no more.

time will tell... Rotors should not warp in 3k miles and it should not happen every 3k miles! But it is happening!

Nissan will no longer do a complete update again after this has been done initally. You rotors are still covered under warranty 3-36 for rear but the warranty for the front rotors for jutter has been extended to 3 yrs unlimited mileage. If rotors are machined or replaced under warranty the pads are included. If it is just worn out pads, unfortunately you're an owner.

very true.
its hard to wear out pads in 6500 miles with normal driving and braking.

Many dealers including mine will say that the pads wore and caused the judder instead of the rotors failing and eating the pads. Big difference between the two. The first situation the customer pays and the second situation the dealer must pay. "What came first the chicken or the egg?" lol f'n dealers will find a way to not pay. My dealer tried to hit me with a 600 bill to replace them but i went with the stillen kit instead. 30,905,940,950,909 times better.

You need to find a new dealer, you're getting hosed...
Call 800-NISSAN1 and tell them you have a Titan with a brake judder,I guarantee you this dealer will be set straight!!!!
well i took it in today to have the brakes done again and they said they resurfaced the rotors which were about .00064" off. I said O-K but if this happens again im calling NISSAN. So... time will tell
