Rear transer case...

I noticed mine leaking about 2 weeks ago. So I called my dealership up to make an appointment and get it taken care of while it's under warranty. I took it it, they "fixed" the problem and I thought life was good again. Yesterday I noticed that the spot on the driveway where I usually park had more oil on it in the same exact spot as before. So I took a look under the truck and sure enough it is leaking from the same place. I got another appointment for Tuesday to get it taken care of the right way (i hope). Has anyone dealt with a situation like this? Where your transfer case leaked like a sieve? Thanks...

Re: Rear transer case...

I just took mine in today. One of the bolts on the back of the transfer case above the output shaft had backed out almost 1/2 an inch. Service person said that he had seen several of these in the past few months. Waiting to hear back from them now.

At least your front transfer case isn't leaking!!!!

Just kidding.

Have been hearing more about this though. Fortunately I havn't had any problems with that yet.

Re: Rear transer case...

Maybe rear Transfr case seal? Mine kind of looks like it sweats alittle it wont leak enough for me to get them to fix it. It has been doing this for about 13k now. They it looks ok, but I know sooner or later its just gonna let go.
