IAT/MAF Sensor ?'s

My truck had been acting up ... i recently installed a cold air intake and i had left the IAT sensor unplugged ..
and i git the SES light
so i plugged it back in and then i did the SES REST and the light wnet away
and it seemed my truck was running fine....
well it runs fine on normal driving but when i go WOT ti hesitates like there is somthing worng with my IAT/MAF sensor.... like its being starved of air or somthing ... .. but at normal driving all seems normal ...

can there be something else worng ... would the SES lgiht come back on if my truck is doing this ... should i try disconecting my batt ... what else should i check

Re: IT/MAF Sensor ?'s

Check all your connections, make sure you have no air leaks, and check to see that you did not install your sensor in backwards. The square opening goes toward the air filter.

Re: IT/MAF Sensor ?'s

I noticed that when ever my Rpm's are either getting close to or hitting the 5000 mark that there is some sort of poping or cracking sound coming from under the hood( or so it sounds like it is) when ever it shifts ... also at about 5000 rpm the truck seems to hesitate more...

If it were the IAT/MAF sensor wouldnt the truck be acting up throughthe whole RPM range and not jsut at certain RPMS wouldnt i notcie hesitation through the whole rpm range... what could that poping or crakcign sound be.... it seems like it would be the throttle body shutting and oping very quickly but thats just my unedjuacated guess...

anyone maybe know what this is?

Our trucks power seems to die at around 5K RPM. It's tuned more for low end.

Re: IT/MAF Sensor ?'s

okay so i did all the relearns and it worked .. i dont know which specific relearn worked but it freakin worked!!!
i love this site .... saved me a trip to the dealer and proabaly 4 or more hours of my time just sitting there just to get a "could not duplicate " and or " its normal" and or "its your CAI / TBS" ....

i absolutely love this forum!!!!

no more hesitation ...no more poping or cracking ... no more anything ... and it feels strogner than before .. like i dont have to push the gas as far down as before to go the same speed ... .in other words .. les rpms at the same speed...

should i do the reset after every mod i do .. im planning on getting the 2* timing advance done this weekend and also im going to be getting the JBA muffelr( thanks to Hylbruce) and im gonna run 3" piping from the "Y" junction back .... so im keeping the stock "Y" like the Magnaflow does. ....

sorry i kinda changed the subject ..but problem solved.
