Post Need a list of Catalytic Failures...

Ok, I am trying to get information from those of you who have had a Cat failure. If you could post about what mileage was when the cat failed, and if you had a CAI or not. I am fighting an uphill battle with my cat failure warranty issue and trying to get some numbers of failures and feedback... Thanks ahead of time.
(my problem at hand...)
Engine sounds bad, 06 CC w/ 22.5k miles

Fixed twice, passenger side manifold @ 17k and the driver side manifold @ 21k. Nismo CAI and Flowmaster. Good luck man.

Re: Need a list of Catalytic Failures...

I have heard of one report of a QX56, stock with cat failure.
I list this just to let you know cats failure has nothing to do with intake/exhaust IMO. Dealer just trying to give you a hard time.

Re: Need a list of Catalytic Failures...

Mine went at 38,000 miles and took out my engine. $12,000 new one under waranty. I did not mind with 38,000 on it.
