I have an 2004 with almost 23000 on it, but the warranty is about to expired come 25 Aug. So I thought I would take it in for the 30K Service so that a lot of the major mechanical items can be inspected while servicing. The Nissan dealer here (we only have on in town) said its about $810 for the complete premium service. I will not need the oil change since I have a lifetime deal with the dealer I bought the truck from, nor will I need the wiper blades, in-cabin microfilter, or the tires rotated. So that should save me some, but the big things I want to get done for sure.
What do you guys think? What all on the list is really required? What has everyone else paid? And do you think it should be cheaper to get the new finned styled rear diff cover install while the service takes place, do the fact they are changing the diff oil in the service anyways?
Quick, chime in I am suppose to drop it off after work today....
Thanks...

Yes, but I want to have everything inspected, so if they find something during all of the servicing it can be fixed under warranty just in the case I don't buy the extended warranty through nissan before it expires. I thought it made since, but I dunno...
Regardless the service cost will be the same, but also I want the Truck to have a clean bill of health since I will be driving it out of Alaska soon. Its an 2004 too, but I have been blessed not to have any of the major issues thus far. Only the brake judder and the front axle breaking away from the front diff, which was replaced under warranty the past winter.

Since it was just replace when they replaced the transfer case, etc under warranty last November when the axle tore away from the case and left a huge hole in it.
But, what about the following recommeded things, I would think it would be a good idea to have the drive belts replaced and all the filters too. The coolant flush may be a good idea as well since I am in Alaska:
I agree, it seems like a rip off a lot of inspecting stuff or replacing stuff that needs to just be inspected. I opted for the transimission flush, the diferential fluid changes, and the cooling system flushed. The other stuff I felt was diy. The dealer quoted in $648 for the 30k service. I paid just under 300.

Just drop it off at the AAFES service station or the auto hobbie shop and let them do the stuff you dont want to do. The shop rate is 50-60 dollars an hour and could save you some cash. Heck pay me and I'll GIT R DONE!

That's a good idea...but I will probably go with the BMW of Anchorage, since that is where I bought the truck from and I have a lifetime oil changes included with them. So of the items on the list I will probably have the following done:
Replace engine oil and filter
Replace automatic transmission/CVT fluid
Replace differential oil
Replace engine air filter
Replace engine coolant/flush system
Replace fuel filter
flush automatic transmission (flush with ATF)
Does this sound like the best combination?

Yea, that should be pretty good. That will give you that good feeling when you leave execpt when you see the bill.

I wouldn't go to AAFES for anything. Just go to the dealer and get the tranny, diff, and coolant service.
The stealership get's 95 an hour for shop labor here. AAFES has ASE mechanics just like the dealership. It will be warrantied at any AAFES service station should something not be right. Any mechanic can do all the describe service. Heck I can do it. except for transmission flush. Just trying to save the man a few bucks. AAFES jack you one time or what.

I got told just this morning that 30K service is $600 for my 04 SE...he tried to play it off that its because the fluids for the Titan are expensive - what can be expensive about fluids for a Titan compared to any other car, unless they are using that expensive a$$ water they're sellin in NYC now to put into the radiator or whatever.....

Can't you replace your air filter yourself? It is simple.
Change your own oil in the diff? Not hard either. How much are they charging you for that?
Your oil change is free so scratch that off the list.
All you really need is the radiator flush. You don't need Nissan to flush your cooling system. Other venues can handle that without messing it up and at a cheaper labor per hour rate.
I doubt the tranny fluid change is necessary at 30K. The tranny flush isn't recommended service until 60K.
The fuel filter is in the tank and unless you have really bad gas where you are at that isn't necessary either.
Good luck with whatever you decide.
