08 with death wobble & vib - Page 11

Have you guys tried reving it up in park? When I do it, with it in Park I feel the same vibration as I do on the freeway.

In one case here, the wobble happened on a dyno. Since only the rear end is on the dyno, that leaves out the front end. Sounds like you have a different symptom from the ones mentioned here....or a combination of problems.

Rey, IANAL Either, but I can tell you for certain that in OH, NY, (...) (and probably many, many others), information captured on Audio tape is not admissible in court if all the parties involved do not know they are being taped. Good luck trying to get your SM to admit fault 'on record.'

EDIT: States removed, I cannot find a good reference link right now. But rest assured, it is not going to be admissible.

well today is the day im just waiting for the machanic to come in.. i printed a stack of these reply's to show him that im not crazy...

well they didn't send a mech they sent the sw rep.. but anyways we took a ride he agreed there is something wrong with my truck and it wasn't coming from the tires but even know in the beginning he was saying maybe its a tire/rim issue. i told him he could put all the tires on it he wanted to but the tires are not the problem so he agreed with me after the ride...anyways i told him about a guy with a 05 that took off his front drive shaft and it fixed the vib so he was going to start with making sure the tires were within spec then he was going to take off the front shaft and take it for a drive, if that didn't work they were going to take off the rear drive shaft and have it balanced. And if that doesn't help they were going to look at the rear axle sense i told him thats how another guy got rid of his VIB on his truck also..We drove a lwb pro4x and it was kinda doing the same thing but not as bad... I told him there were alot of people having this issue and he didn't seem to know anything about that witch im calling butt sh#t.. NISSAN knows about this problem..... As far as the DEATH WOBBLE goes i cant get it to do it here in phx so he is not going be much help but he did say if they get the VIB worked out that he would have the machanic check everything up front to make sure they are within spec's.... So we will see what they say in a few days... He did say that he couldn't just tell me sorry we can't fix your truck he had to fix it or give me a reason why they can't fix it.. And i did remind him that this truck has to work orders for the same problem and all i needed was two more to start the LEMON LAW process here in AZ and he said he knows that and it wouldn't have to go that far.............

They gave me a rental car and said we will be in touch with you in a couple of days depending on what is found or fixed.. The REP was going to take it out by himself again so he could see the pass seat shake like i told him it would if he wouldn't of been setting in it... Also he said that he had some higher up's to talk to about this problem..

TNPro4X did you file a claim with nissan CS yet ? if you haven't do it they need to have these logged with nissan thats how they get the engineers involved...

Thanks for the info> I got a bunch of surveys; havent had much time to look over. I did get a call form some Nissan person and did tell them I am having driveline vibrations but it sounded like some min wage call center chick who was almost speechless when I told her that. She said she will "log it"< Whatever...and am going to see what happens tom.

I sure hope you guys get this figured out soon. I would really like to get a Pro-4x here by the end of the month. This problem that is being reported here is making me rethink my decision. I realize it isn't all the trucks but it sure seems like it is a pretty big portion of them.

me too brother.......... well if they get this fixed i will still be changing out those crap RANCHO'S and put something better because these shocks are not helping things....
