I have a one piece drive shaft as well, so I dont see what rotating the shaft 90 degrees will accomplish. as someone posted earler, if the yokes on the shaft are not lined up, they can be out of phase. but my shaft is one long shaft. As for adlk1's fix, they just shotguned all the parts and got lucky. changed the read diff, rotors, and rotated the shaft (probably on accident since if you replace the rear diff, how do you know what phase you were in?)
If adkl1 has a two-piece rear shaft, then sure a rotation could help if the yokes were not aligned. I have read many different fixes to this issue, for some its shims, for others its an unbalanced shaft, for others, its replace the rear diff, and of course doing an alighment and road force balance of the tires. Each person is just going to have to figure out his own solution since replacing the above parts and procedures dont always work. my opinion is that Nissan's parts quality control is very lacking and you have some parts that are out of spec, and some in, and when they replace them, you might get lucky, and you might not. Thats why I am proceeding with the texas lemon law process. I am done with the paperwork and I am going to 2 dyno's this week to film them with a high definition camera to post on youtube with my other video, and to sumbit to the texas lemon law process.
Mine starts vibrating at 35 and never stops and it gets worse the faster you go. Took it to dealer and they said it was normal and drove another titan off the lot and since it did the same thing it was normal. My 05 did nothing like this. At 70 down the stretch of highway that I have drove the most with my 05 It is pretty bad. Don't see how any tech can drive it and say it's how a titan should drive. I know it will drive rough since it's a truck but a constant shake is not normal. I'm taking it to my local dealer for a look thursday, so hopefully they at least agree with my that there is a problem and can try some stuff. The drive shaft phase makes since but I looked on mine and I have a solid axle going to a cross member and then another solid axle going to the rear end. Am I not understanding how this type of shaft could be out of phase? I'm trying to be hopeful on this problem but I'm down 1 of 2 dealers within a 3 hour drive. Is this going to get worse when I'm pulling a trailer?

This is an update from the dealer... After bringing in some engineers from Nissan TN, and from Japan, they could not find anything that would cause the severe vibration on 4th gear. They did replace the transmission for a new one, and problem fixed.
The dealer is located in Roswell, GA: Regal Nissan and ask for the service manager. I am sure he will remember the Japanese eng. that came to see the truck.
Hey People, new to the show. I have had problems with my 07 titan cc 2 wheel dr. when i drove it off the lot on a test dr. Salesman said it was flat spots. Since then i have been back to dealer 5 times, 1 for new tires and rims, 2 for new tires. Test drove with dts, dts stated they have a issue with 2 wheel dr titan cc, drive shaft to long causing vib. I asked him if the new tires would fix, he stated no. I turned in to fla. lemon law. he told themit was repaired. going to arbitration in a couple fo weeks anybody have any information that would help my case.
Here is my update from the past couple of weeks.....1st visit to the dealer, they balanced the tires, still vibrates. 2nd visit, they tried to road force balance the tires, and found 2 bad tires, tires on order. 3rd visit, they replaced the 2 bad tires, they claim there is no more vibration, but it still vibrates. I took it upon myself to rotate the rear driveshaft through all 4 positions on the rear end, I did not think 1 position was any better than the others. I am thinking my driveshaft may be out of balance?
hey guys, the dts from the factory stated it was due to the angle of the drive shaft. He stated with additional weight in the truck it would go away. he also stated that it was a problem in the 2 wheel dr only. He said the drive shaft in the 4x4 was a different length. I have no idea.

My 4WD has the problem.

The really scary thing about all of this is after reading all the posts again there are a lot of trucks having this problem, but the solution (if found) does nto seem to be the same for any 2 trucks... Now that's scary
