Gofast33- Congrats on the new titan. I realized the vibration the instant I took delivery off the lot. There is a highway stretch from the dealer to my home. I called salesman initially and he told me "its probably the tires flat spoted from sitting on the lot for so long. Truck had 22 miles when I bought it so... Anyway after 800 miles it still happens and you have read my other posts. I too have been holding off on the suspension stuff. ADKL1 has got the "master mechanic" looking at his soon. I will wait and see what happens to him and go from there. Hopefully the issue will be resolved. If you do have the vibration you will notice it right away once ya get on the highway and set the cruise at between 65-80. Hopefully you dont....

I was given the same "flat spot" response too, and it turned out the tire was out-of-round. I took it to a Goodyear dealer and the road force spec was out, so I got a new tire for free. I can't say the vibration is completely gone, but it is much better.
I tested mine today for the first time over 60 MPH. I have no vibration at all right up to about 75-80 MPH. Thank goodness!

On my drive to and from work today, I specifically looked for the WB --- nada! Whew! Keep us posted of your progress on this unacceptable problem, adkl1.

No matter, I'm still with you on this. If there's a potential problem, we all need to be aware of it. Who's to say the vibration won't show up later.

The more I think about it the more I believe that the driveshaft is the culprit. How can such a crucial element that should be designed to be true round and balanced need 5-6 welded weights to bring it to "acceptable balance"... Especially if thats a change for '08...
I'm a Canuck who just picked up my first Titan-- an 08 Pro4x CC Blizzard SWB from the DFW area and drove it home to Saskatchewan. It had 180 miles on it and in 2 days, I put 1600 more miles. No cruise control for the first 1200 miles, but that went by pretty good.
This thing rides like a dream...Like a dream of driving a tank! I love it! My first half-ton. Absolutely no wobbles, creaks, squeeks...nuthin. Here's hopin it stays that way.
Just thought everyone would appreciate this. Just got done looking over the Nissan Titan website. It states "Prior to delivery every Titan is track tested"!!!
OK, so I gues in my case they didnt test it between 65-80mph... What a load of shyit!!!

I'm sure they don't test it at those speeds. 45 - 55 would be my guess. But they seemed to have tested mine...lol. But seriously....they can't drive them too far because my 04 had 4 miles on it when I bought it. I do know that the truck in general (not every one of them mind you) is highly tested and retested during developement. I don't think developement is the problem most times. I think it's a supplier issue having to do with part quality and going with the cheaper supplier. But I could be off. Just my opinion in what I've seen so far because the Titan is one helluva truck other than the few hiccups we've run into.

Ive had this vibration since I bought my 07 KCSE. Nissan started with saying it was the tires and balancing. So they put new tires on and the vibration was still there. Then they said it was the drive shaft, so they put a new one on my truck. The vibration was still there especially at freeway speeds. Its a pulsating vibration and it comes from the front of the truck.
The other day with the truck in park, I reved it up slowly. At 1700 rpm to 2200 rpms my engine vibrates bad. I took it in and showed the tech manager at my dealer. He ran a bunch of test and he said that the engine was fine.. He couldnt give me a straight forward answer.... I ask about the engine mounts.....they were find. He also said that Nissan told him that its normal. So I asked if I could test a new truck to see if it did the same thing. He told me that they tried 3 different trucks and that 2 of the them were the same. Next he said there was one truck that did it worse than mine.
The end result is my truck has some new parts on it, but it still vibrates from the engine and it drives me crazy. My friend had a similiar problem with a chevy malibu. It was the HARMONIC DAMPNER (sp), chevy replaced the oem one with another oem part and the same vibration was still there. The second oem one that chevy put on failed leaving my friend and his kids stranded. Chevy ended up putting in an aftermarket one and the problem was gone. He said that he had to buy the part but chevy paid him back.
My 04 Titan had no vibration just bad brakes and they replaced them. The ride quality was better and there was no bed hop. I bought the 07 because I liked my 04 so much but I regret getting the new truck.

I hopw they fix this truck because I love driving it.. I drove it up to flagstaff and this thing halls some a** up the mountains.. I got to play in the snow alittle too also turned on the diff lock everything worked great... but I do have a new squeek coming from the rear of the truck when I drive threw my neighborhood and hit small bumps.. I sounds like two fat chicks in a old bed going at it... hahaha

Could those with this "death wobble" take a moment and define it? For instance, if you have a cup of coffee sitting on your center console would it fly off? Would it just vibrate? I've just replaced my 05 crew with an 08 Pro-4X and I spend all my driving time thinking "is that it, is that the start?" I'm up in Anchorage, and the roads are so icy that I can't get to 70 even on the freeways. I do not detect any bad vibrations between 60 and 65.
