Please Help with Code 1278!!!

Well thanx to all the good reading on here I was able to read my ECU, and it flashes 1278 and 1279 which both mean Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor 1. I have the modification where you cut off the air intake closer and have been running that for quite a while. I also have a K&N air filter that probably needs cleaning being that I havent since I got it about 6 months ago. what do you think I should do? i cant look at the Air Filter yet, but I will tomorrow.
