Re: radiator fluid

I agree with what ^^^^^said. I had that same problem, but after a while I ended up having a radiator leak. SO they replaced it and now I don't have anti-freeze all over now.

Re: radiator fluid

Mine was leaking also but ended up being the radiator leaking. If leaking from the cap, you should see it comming from the cap. If no visible fluid near the cap, bad radiator or a leaking tubing connection or bad hose . When I had mine replaced, the dealer said he always keeps 2-3 in stock to replace bad ones. Must not be just a few problems.

Re: radiator fluid

Could be caused by venting fumes from the plastic bottle. It has a plastic cap that opens from pressure and opens from vacuum, IIRC. Thus, fumes/odor could be evident, without any spray.

that was my next guess the overflow bottle, but the smell is strong sometimes on a hot day

Re: radiator fluid

I've had exact same situation, before and after replacing with new cap. I've also replaced clamps on hoses to ensure they were not a source.
