i went through 2 caps with my 06 titan from the dealership. dam for such a small easy fix and nissan has to realize alot of titans have done this, i can recall talking to service guy about this and he said its quite common- maybe nissan made like a gazillion of these crappy caps and just want to get rid of them. Its been like a year since i had my last leak. Knock on wood!!!!!

take the radiator cap off turn upside down bend the two tabs that lock the cap to radiator make the cap fit radiator as tight as possible.or hold cap in hand bend tab's with channel lock pliers. i did this to my cap fixed radiator never leaked again.the dealer ship not smart enough to do this.hope this helps.
That's excactly what I did!...Hasn't leaked a drop.
All this whining about a rad cap, you want to file a complaint? then do it on all the radiators that have failed...I just replaced mine, I'd change 20 caps for the price and hassle of just one radiator...

I did file a complaint referencing this thread along with the ones on the other Titan sites. For whatever it was worth, I was told it was at least worth a try and that was the whole reason for this thread. It's been filed long ago, I got one response and nothing since so I figure well that's just piss on them then. I'm on my third one now and bent the tabs on it when I found it leaked the Sunday before last so hopefully it will hold like everyone else's did. I still don't fully understand all the fragile plastic on the Radiator Neck that's non-detachable but it is what it is.

Mine started leaking today (on Heavy throttle only). Brought it to a dealer and they wanted to keep the truck and they would NOT give me a replacement cap. They said they had to "analyze" the situation. BS!!!! I went to Pep boys and bought one for about 8 bucks. Will put it on when engine cools and hopefully it will solve the problem. If not....I will try the tab trick noted in an above post.
Went out just now and bent the tabs in a bit....Replaced the cap and it is TIGHT!!!! I then notice the cap is upside down, so I turn it around (stickler for things like that) and to my surprise....NOT AS TIGHT!!!!! I flip it over and TIGHT AGAIN!!!! Not sure how this makes any difference between the two installations since the cap looks the same all the way around....... I guess I will leave it upside down for now and see what happens. Looks like I will keep the Pep Boys cap for one of my other two Vehicles.

I bent the tabs too, it doesnt leak coolant but check your heater and see if your loosing heat. Excellerate too a few times and then check it periodically, see if you still have heat below 90. No flux in the temp, but I think my cap is leaking air.
Mine was leaking, and I went in to buy a new cap. The parts guy recongnized me and asked if my truck was still under warranty. I told him it was and he gave me a new cap. He didn't even go to my truck. He said I could bring the old cap back when ever I had a chance. I am very happy with my dealer. Greg Leblanc in Houma Louisiana.
