Oscillates when driving on concrete

My crew cab long bed oscillates really bad when driving on concrete sections of the freeway. I think it goes into harmonic motion and rocks back and forth really rapidly. Anyone else with this problem? Will better shocks minimize this effect or is it the frame length that's causing it?

Re: Oscillates when driving on concrete

I used too get a lot of bed bounce with the stock Rancho rear shocks.

Bought some Bilsteins that Greg from PRGproducts.com modifies the mount to fit our trucks ... (think they were for the front of a Super-Duty). They were a major improvement, and got rid of wheel hop on this one curve.

Btw, they were my first mod.
Oh, he might have a newer/different solution for your application. Give him a call. His contact info. is at PRG products.com

Re: Oscillates when driving on concrete

Actually, I already called him about this and he suggested that I remove one of the rear shocks and see if it makes a difference (good or bad) to determine if it is indeed a shock abosorber issue. I haven't had a chance to do this yet. Just wanted to know if anyone here has experienced this problem...maybe this is something new related to the just the long bed.
