Dealerships R Dumb

I ordered a hitch and wiring harness from etrailer.com. Installed it but according to what I read the harness kit did not include the third relay I needed. So I called two local dealers.

First one told me that if my truck didn't come with the BT package that it was impossible to wire it. After I told them that my non-BT had the wiring ready to go at the end of the bed they then told me that there was no way to tell which relay I might need.

Second dealership said that they've only installed ONE, yes ONE, aftermarket hitch on a Titan. It was a 2007 year and that year, as far as they could remember, only needed the one relay

So... I called etrailer back up and asked them. They are sending out the third relay. Unbelievable how moronic dealerships can be.

Apparently dealerships are given stone tablets that have just your basic parts that come on a vehicle they sell. Tires? Check. Windshield? Check. Seat or two seats? Check. Hitch Relay? Not on stone tablet - must not exist.

Re: Dealerships R Dumb

Unfortunately that's the problem with non mandatory dealer training and some dealers only wanting to make money and not hire people with experience(more money). Consequently there are great ones and ****ty ones and not many in between.
