U Smell That????

I didnt spend alot of time searching the site, so if this is a repeat I apologize early. The best way to explain the issue is to say I can smell the washer fluid when used to clean the windshield while driving. No, the windows were up. Either my sniffer has changed or this is the only vehicle I can remember smelling the washer fluid when in use. The fluid is the Rain-X version of bug wash. I also have the moisture issue under the front passenger floormat that is to be looked at next week. '07 CC 4wd 18,700 miles

Re: U Smell That????

I use the Rain-X too and it has a much stronger smell than regular window wash. The air intake vents are directly under your wipers so that's why it comes in. Changing out your In-Cabin Microfilter behind your glovebox to a clean one may help filter the air a little better. The Filters are available at OReilly Auto Parts. The water on the floorboard is caused by an A/C Condensation drain hose that's too short, there's a TSB on lengthening it and some folks have fixed their own.

Re: U Smell That????

Thanks for the reply. I am hoping that drain hose is the issue with the floor moisture. Short of changing brands of fluid, one will have to just live with the smell.
