05 Titan LE bounce problem

I just bought an 05 Titan LE. I had an 05 Armada and loved it. I like the titan but it seems like it is loose or bouncy in the back. I am not a big car guy and I was wondering if anybody had some suggestions on how to make the truck ride smoother like the Armada. I know that it will not ride just like it but maybe a little better. I was told to add some weight in the bed, but i was curious as to what you guys have seen or heard. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to TT!

Does it have the offroad package? Their shocks are known to suck! A ggod set of shocks will help, no matter what package it has. Go with Icons, bilstein or SAW's!

Re: 05 Titan LE bounce problem

It does not have the off road package. It is a standard 2005 Titan LE 4 door. What kind of tires do you think would give me the smoothest ride. They have good year 18" all-terrain tires now. I was also thinking about putting a truck cap on it. The LEER 100XQ. Do you think the added weight might help.

Tires and shocks will solve your problem.

I put Michelin's on mine with Bilsteins. They are nice.

Re: 05 Titan LE bounce problem

Did you put the shocks only on the rear or front and rear? What Michelins did you buy?

Re: 05 Titan LE bounce problem

A drop shackle took the quick bouncing away from my kids heads in the back seat. The ride my wife even noticed was better. About $100 bucks and its a do it yourselfer. But the Titan is a solid rear axle so it won't ever ride like the armada.
