clunk in front when hitting bumps - Page 2

my 08 does this also and i'm pretty sure it's the uca hitt'n the coilbucket. i'm planning to get PRGs uppers and SAW coilovers to correct the clunk.i have no lift at this time..

Mine does it - has since I put the leveling kit on it.

The fix is simple and well known. It's called a grinder. Grind a relief in the coil bucket - it's not structural (as long as you don't get too carried away)...

I've seen you write this a few times, and each time you write it you're as wrong as the time before. To claim that the shock is "destroying itself" by topping out is just silly and almost libelous. The shock is the limiting factor for suspension stroke on our trucks, thus it's designed to top out. That's why our shocks have stoppers in them that are separate from the valve assemblies. Ask Greg, I'm sure he's cut a few open in his time.

Some line of thought would be you need to read more and continue to post less. You are dipping into an area which you seem to have no personal experience. I have had TWO Titans. one 2wd and one 4wd. Both have had this issue. The 2wd stayed stock, and the 4wd has the level only. UCA bucket wearing a hole in itself do to striking the coil bucket is Piss Poor Design and a very well know issue. Not Operator error. Simple fix has been to either grind away safely, or replace crappy stock shocks with a quality name brand.
