Radiator is leaking...

Well it's now my turn to deal with a radiator issue...So if I do nothing and fry an engine, the engine will be covered under my 5 yr/60,000 mile warranty....but the radiator is not covered under the same warranty...Makes no sense...

Any body know of a good aftermarket radiator?

Or is it the coolant line underneath?

Not the cap...
Do you mean the lower rad hose?

I haven't found the actual leak, it's small enough(for right now...) that I only lost about 16 oz of water coming back from a 140 mile trip home.

I'm going to try and drop the lower fan shoud to check, but I just don't see anything else it could be from that far down.

Re: Radiator is leaking...

There's a small coolant line on the bottom... I think it goes to the tranny. 54's leaked there, mine leaked there. There's a TSB on it I believe.

Re: Radiator is leaking...

Well, I found the leak, the plastic tank cracked right where the molded in bracket for the fan shroud slips in...
New radiator $225 plus tax and I'm back on the road again...
Will investigate rad mounting to see if there is a way to prevent the chassis shock loads from getting to the radiator...

Re: Radiator is leaking...

Go to Radiator.com and those guys will get you taken care of. They will set you up with a radiator shop in your area and tell you the total price. Good folks. Good prices.
