Hello Gang,
Okay I had my truck in the body shop for over 20 days, I was side swiped in a parking lot and it took out both of the passenger doors. Anyway the doors had to be replaced, they were peeled back like a "Sardine Can". I picked up my truck Friday and all was well. So I was driving home from the store yesterday (Sunday) and the truck just died no sputtering nothing, i lost all power, and it would just Crank over but would not start, I tried re-program my key, nothing, My truck only has 29K and is an 06, it sounds like there is no spark, it has gas, so the tow truck was called and it is at Nissan now. I have a warranty on the truck, Bumber to Bumber, But I was wondering if anyone has had anything like this happen to them, I was thinking that the body shop may have pinched some wires while instaling the doors? but it ran fine for 2 days. It really sucks I was without my truck for over 20 days and now I am truckless again, I am hopeing someone can enlighten me as far as WTF is the matter w/my truck.

I believe the wiring harness is located on the right side as it goes to the back of the truck-curious if anything was damaged...
What he said^^^
I hit some debris awhile back, which came back and knocked this large (probably 40 pin) connector apart and the truck just shut down. Plugged it back in and it was good to go.

Okay gang, I feel like somewhat of an idiot!!!! they replaced the ECM, and it did not fix the problem, so they dropped the tank to check the fuel pump, it was working fine. Turns out, even though the gas gauge said it had gas in it, it was EMPTY!!!, it seems the sending unit was faulty. That is the 2nd time I have had this failure with 2 different Titans, I am beginning to wonder if it is an inherit problem, So just a word from someone that has learned the hard way, if your truck stalls, wont start, and you are not certain about how much gas you have.........................................
Peace,
Goose.

Glad it was a simple solution! My gas guage has acted odd a few times...that's one reason I always reset the "B" odometer each time I fill up. That way I know I need to get gas at about 350 miles, regardless of what the guage says.

Hey there,
Just got a Used 07 Titan about two weeks ago. I spent a bulk of my Saturday dealing with a very similar issue. The truck died on me as I was going up a small hill. Fuel guage indicated just under a 1/4 tank. I knew it was low on gas, so I humped it to the nearest gas station, purchased a one gallon gas can (the only option available) and filled it up. Walked back to the truck and emptied gas can into truck. Still would not start. So I called a tow truck and away to the dealership I went. Once there, took it off of the tow truck and it started right up!! F!
The moral to the story, one gallon of gas was not enough to get it going, because I was on a hill.
The dealer claims this is a known issue, and it is covered under warranty up to 36K.
I do like BobNYC's solution for tracking your own mileage using trip B. Never hurts to know.
