Cool 08' Titan Manual Shift not working!!!!

Has anyone with an 08' had the manual shift just stop working. Worked fine until today but now it wont engage at all. Tried it while driving, stopped and in park and nothing. I don't use it all that often but just wanted to mess around with my truck today and its a no go. Only had the truck for a month and a half and that makes me nervous that it could be a computer problem. Any thoughts??

Re: 08' Titan Manual Shift not working!!!!

its probably the button, a bad wire, or connection. dont sweat it , it's still probably under warranty

Re: 08' Titan Manual Shift not working!!!!

well check this out. i have a 07 xe. my shift button stopped working. i went to the dealer today and they said it was not covered because i have aftermarket wiring from a alarm under the dash. they never even tried to check the switch they only wasted my time to find a way not to fix it. my alarm doesent shift my truck.

No but once someone else has been hacking into your wiring harness, there's no telling what went wrong.

Re: 08' Titan Manual Shift not working!!!!

i had this same problem in my o4 xe and they fixed it under a "goodwill warranty" that nissan offers. alot of people are unaware of it but they will fix it for free depending on the cost and the problem. it was $240 but the goodwill warranty had covered it, just tell the guy at the service counter to do a research on it and make some calls and i promise you they can take care of it

Re: 08' Titan Manual Shift not working!!!!

Hello there!
my manuel shifter does not work. i have checked the wire harness and it seems everything is alright and in place. when i shift the manuel shifter up, the indicator in the cluster goes from D to 4 and back to D, it wont stay on 4.
when i try to shift down it does not do anything. does anybody know what could be the problem? is there a sensor in the transmission that controls shifting?
thanks!!

Where did you get your work done, dealership is quoting me almost $500 to replace the entire shifter.

I have an 05 w/ the shifter on the column, manual mode just stopped working one day.
